Fly, snake, fly!
In my original script the man dies but then it seemed like a bit too much. That poor fella been through hell, why not just leave him in peace for once. Have a nice life, man previously known to be wearing a troll costume!
Still one more page to go and that’s that. I hope you’re ready. This is really the end coming up.
For real.
Get excited so you can be depressed about it later.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <-excitement
I am VERY excited about the grand finale,…but I’m already suffering from a bit of pre-end sadness…
Having discovered your wonderful story not too long ago, I rapidly caught up and was gleeful each and every minute! Your work is too enjoyable to come to an end,…so I’m dearly hoping that, as you mentioned awhile back, you intend to continue telling a few other short stories here and there from this wonderful world you’ve cooked up…
That,…and,…of course, because I enjoy the dialogue you and the other fellow enthusiasts are willing to give outside of the wordless media of the comic itself…
It has been, and will hopefully continue to be, in some form,…and absolute pleasure…
By the way,…a few minutes ago I officially turned 44 years old! Hurrah for me!
Jadugara ^_^
Happy birthday! Consider this page my gift to you haha
I am going to do a few more Stupid Snake comics. I’ll elaborate on that next week.
Happy Birthday @Jadugara!
Moar Stupid Snake? \o/
The Snake’s risen. The man’s death is averted. Is all good.
The cycle begins again, with a snake which is perhaps just a little less stupid? Will it recall anything of the mind that it gestated in?
I strongly think you should have made us worry a bit more about the Man, before revealing he’s okay. It’s this little piece of drama that I think is missing from this ending.
Regardless, it also might serve as making us think who do we care about? The ending emphasizes the Snake’s death and rebirth, rightfully, as we maybe have been shocked by his death and relieved by his rebirth, while the same may happen to the Man, on a much smaller scale, yet we might find ourselves much more caring about him, this ordinary man we’ve come to know, than this epic divine snake that, it’s implied, is as stupid as any legend is or might be.
That’s it, that’s the only fly in my soup.
Read the whole thing again from the start with no interruption and let me know if it stills bothers you. It should be a different experience.
I did not find the past few pages lacking. I have been reading the archives for the past 5 hours here. In a whole, it flows well.
I’m reaaaaally glad that the Man didn’t die!!!! While it would’ve fitted in the story’s logic, it would’ve also made a depressing ending.
The above suggestions from croovman would also have been an interesting addition. Also, maybe you could’ve created a stronger link between the role of the Man in the birth of the new Snake (although story-wise, I wouldn’t know how this could’ve been included).
Anyhow, I’m still satisfied with this ending. Awesome job!
